Correctional Officer Virgil Reel Putnamville Correctional Facility, Indiana Correctional Officer Reel was crossing the highway to enter the main gate to enter the Putnamville Facility, when he was hit by a semi tractor pulling a box trailer. Officer Reel died at the scene. Officer Reel is survived by his wife and two daughters.
