Lieutenant Robert Haley Comanche County Sheriff Department, Texas Lieutenant Robert Haley was killed on 10/28/04 from blunt force trauma in a serious vehicular accident while transporting an inmate from Abilene to Comanche. The vehicle he was driving veered onto the shoulder and into the opposing lane where Lieutenant Haley was hit by an oncoming SUV. Lieutenant Robert Haley is survived by his wife Billie Dee Haley, his son Robert Haley Jr., and his daughter Carrie Guerra who also worked for the sheriff's Department as a Jailer. Lieutenant Haley is also survived by numerous grandchildren and extended family members.
