Michael Douds Ohio Officer Mike Douds suffered a heart attack on April 5, 2003 while he and other officers struggled with an inmate, who was attempting to hang himself. The Officers were successful in preventing the suicide, but during the struggle Officer Douds collapsed and after being transported to the hospital was pronounced dead. Officer Douds is survived by his wife and two teenage children.
