John Bennett Texas Officer Bennett was transporting a death row inmate when his vehicle was struck head on by an out of control pickup truck. Officer Bennett was killed as well as the driver of the pickup. Officer Bennett is survived by his wife, two sons Ty and Jake, stepson Brandon as well as his parents, brother and two sisters
