Correctional Officer Pablo Vazquez – January 25, 2007 – California State Prison-Sacramento - California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. On Thursday January 25, 2007 Correctional Officer Pablo Vazquez, having just completed a shift of inmate supervision at the UC Davis Medical Center, was on his way to the prison and still on duty when he was killed in an automobile accident. Officer Vazquez is survived by his wife Deborah, adult daughters Vanessa, Marie and 17-year old Larrissa, 14-year old son Emilio and grandchildren 9-year old Lilianna, 6-year old Nathaniel, 4-year old Nevaeh, 3-year old Navario and 1-year old Nereya.
