2/17/2001 Deputy James Salvino, Jr. Cuyahoga County Sheriff Department Cleveland, Ohio Deputy Salvino was transporting inmates on a transportation assignment and lost control of the vehicle where it was struck by a semi truck tractor trailer and dragged before the vehicle was ejected. He succumbed to his injuries the following day. Deputy Salvino was a Corrections Officer for four years and a Deputy for three years. Deputy Salvino is survived by his parents James and Joanne, sister Karen Salvino and nephew Brendan.
