Correctional Officer Dennis Stemen Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Ohio Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Correctional Officer Dennis Stemen was killed on July 5, 1994 in a vehicle accident while transporting an inmate for medical treatment. Officer Stemen was 31. He is survived by his wife Patricia, four children, a brother and his parents Kim and Larry.
