Deputy Sergeant Vincent Spinelli New York Cayuga County Sheriff's Department, New York New York Deputy Sergeant Vincent Spinelli Cayuga County Sheriff’s Department died in the line of duty on August 6, 1992 . While attempting to restrain a combative inmate, Deputy Sergeant Spinelli was struck in the chest by a severe blow that caused him to suffer a massive heart attack. Deputy Sergeant Spinelli was 56 at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Shirley, and sons Donald and Vincent, Jr. Shirley Spinelli and Vincent, Jr. attended Project 2000 IV in 1993 at which Memorial Service Deputy Sergeant Spinelli was honored.
