Probation/Parole Officer David Seymour Louisiana Dept of Public Safety and Corrections Division, Louisiana Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections Division of Adult Probation and Parole Probation/Parole Officer David Seymour was killed on August 27, 1996 at the age of 28 in an accidental shooting during a training exercise at the Academy. David’s widow Cynthia is also a Louisiana Probation/Parole Officer. Cynthia came to the Memorial Service and Project 2000 VIII in 1997 with her and David’s (then) six-year-old son David Jr.; David’s parents Becky and Dennis, and David’s brother Michael.
