Correctional Officer Brent Lumley Perryville, Arizona Arizona Department of Corrections Correctional Officer Brent W. Lumley of the Arizona State Prison Complex-Perryville was murdered on March 7, 1997 when inmates gained access to a secured control room and stabbed him. Officer Lumley was a five-year veteran of the Arizona Department of Corrections. He is survived by his wife Doreena, who is a Public Safety Officer with the Phoenix Police Department, son Blake, mother Judy Chizmas, father Bill, brothers Bruce, Barry, Troy and Russell, and a large extended family.
