Correctional Officer William Immer Limestone Correctional Facility, Alabama Alabama Department of Corrections, Correctional Officer, William Immer died July 4, 1997 in a fatal accident en route to refuel his work vehicle. Officer Immer was a 12-year veteran of the Alabama DOC at Limestone Correctional Facility, and was also a member of the Alabama National Guard. Officer Immer is survived by his father Fred, mother Mary Van Raalte Immer, brothers Kurt and Karl, and sister Kathy. Fred and Kurt Immer attended Project 2000 IX in San Antonio at which Memorial Service Officer Immer was honored, and Fred Immer is now a Supporting Member of the CPO Foundation.
