Correctional Officer Sidney Harrison Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, Mississippi Mississippi Department of Corrections Correctional Officer Sidney Harrison was killed on May 18, 1995. Officer Harrison worked at Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman. Age 34, he died from injuries sustained from an accident in the state vehicle in which he was riding. Officer Harrison was on his way to testify in a federal court case. Officer Harrison is survived by his wife Rosemary and stepdaughter Shundra. Rosemary Harrison was training to be a Mississippi Correctional Officer herself at the time of her husband’s death. She completed her training and is now a Correctional Officer, also at MSP in Parchman, at one of this vast facility’s many specialized Units.
