Juvenile Detention Officer Casey Harmon Lee County Sheriff Department, Tupelo, Mississippi Lee County Juvenile Detention Center Juvenile Detention Officer Casey Harmon of the Lee County Sheriff Department in Tupelo, Mississippi was shot and killed on March 2, 1998 by a juvenile ward who, as he was being released to his father, pulled out a concealed weapon. Officer Harmon had been with the Department for only three months and was 20 years old. He is survived by his mother Lynn and two brothers, Peace Officer & Coroner Investigator Andy Harmon and Deputy Sheriff Adam Harmon.
