Court Security Officer Gene Goldeberry US Marshals Service, Kansas United States Marshals Service Court Security Officer Gene Goldsberry was shot in the head and killed on August 5, 1993 when an armed man entered the Frank Carlson Federal Building in Topeka, Kansas and opened fire. Court Security Officer Goldsberry had served as an MP in the U.S. Army and as a Kansas Highway Patrolman. He is survived by his wife Gloria.
