Correctional Sergeant Tommy L. Goggins Jack T. Rutledge State Prison, Georgia Georgia Department of Corrections Correctional Sergeant Tommy L. Goggins had 20 years of military service, including four overseas tours of duty. During his military career, he received numerous awards and decorations. Sergeant Goggins was a 13-year veteran of Corrections, with several awards including “Officer of the Year.” He was also involved in several local and state Correctional Peace Officers associations. Sergeant Goggins’ surviving family includes his wife Anita; son Tony; daughters Yolanda and Demetria; and six grandchildren.
