Correctional Officer Renard George New York City of New York Department of Correction Correction Officer Renard George was killed on July 24, 1993. While in a rental car with another Officer, Officer George was fatally shot twice in the back by a gunman from the street. Officer George was 26. He is survived by his parents and a brother.
