Correctional Officer Kimberly DiCerbo Green Haven Correctional Facility, New York New York Department of Corrections Corrections Officer Kimberly DiCerbo was killed on July 14, 1995. Officer DiCerbo was shot in the head and killed by a fellow Corrections Officer who lost control in the Employee Housing Unit at Green Haven Correctional Facility and opened fire. Officer DiCerbo was 25 and engaged to be married at the time of her death. Also slain in the same incident was colleague Officer Cherylann Ferguson Harding, who tried to come to Officer DiCerbo’s assistance. Officer DiCerbo is survived by her parents Carl and Nancy, brother Robert and sister Patricia.
