Deputy Sheriff Tommy Bourne Jefferson Davis County Sheriff's Department, Mississippi Mississippi Deputy Sheriff Tommy Bourne Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Department was killed in the line of duty on February 21, 1997. His colleague, Deputy Sheriff J.P. Rutland, was killed in the same fatal incident. Deputy Sheriff Bourne was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation, and was a role model in Jefferson Davis County. He was an active leader in child safety education and prevention programs. Deputy Bourne is survived by his wife Pam, son Pat, and daughters Shields and Leigh.
