Correctional Officer Mondetta "Monie" Fuller, Sauk Center Juvenile Correctional Facility, Minnesota. Minnesota Department of Corrections. Correctional Officer Mondetta "Monie" Fuller was killed in the line of duty on October 27, 1988. Officer Fuller had been working at the Sauk Center Juvenile Correctional Facility for just a few weeks before she was killed when the state van in which she was riding skidded on an icy highway and collided with a semi truck. She is survived by her husband Roger Sowell, sons Steven Sowell, Derrick Sowell and daughter Wendy Sowell-Phillips.
