Correctional Officer Boyd H. Spikerman – January 29, 1984 United States Department of Justice – Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Government – FCI Oxford, Wisconsin. Officer Spikerman was bludgeoned with a fire extinguisher and stabbed by an inmate while two other inmates acted as lookouts. Officer Spikerman’s body was found by a fellow officer. An investigation found that the inmates had discussed killing a staff member to receive recognition by the Aryan Brotherhood. Officer Spikerman’s wife was killed in an auto accident about six months prior to his murder, and they had had no children.
